‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 5 Casting Spoilers
Back in June , just after Season 4 of Game of Thrones came to an end, series creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff hinted that several new characters will be popping up in Season 5 While the show normally brings on a slew of fresh faces every year, we haven't had any clue who might be showing up this season, until today, when a new, unconfirmed report revealed that Keisha Castle-Hughes has signed on to play one of the Sand Snakes.
Leaving Ireland and heading south to warmer climes, we find ourselves in Malta, a landscape that constituted much of King’s Landing in Season 1. The country’s former capital, Mdina, was used to represent the central city of Westeros to great effect; the many well-preserved historical buildings fit perfectly with the theme of medieval grandeur. Local structures on the Mediterranean island, such as the Mdina Bridge, Pjazza Mesquita and Verdala Palace, are all located close to one another.
No official premiere date of the fifth season has been released by HBO yet, but the show is expected to be back on air sometime in April 2015. Part of the new season would shoot in "several natural locations in the Province of Sevilla," HBO noted. It creates speculation that part of the season will take place in the kingdom of Dorne, home of season four's newcomer Oberyn Martell. The show wrapped its fourth season in June and will begin filming its fifth season in Belfast later this month. SPOILERS AHEAD, PEOPLE. A few new rumored names have been added to the Game of Thrones fifth season character list, and if true, they reveal something very unusual will be happening on the show next year. And if the show is moving — at least for one of its numerous interweaving storylines — to Dorne, that means the character of Princess Myrcella Baratheon will, it’s been reported, play an integral part in the story The daughter of Queen Cersei and her brother Jamie Lannister, and therefore brother to current King Tommen and deceased King Joffrey, Myrcella was last seen in Season 2, being shipped off to Dorne as part of a deal to seal a Lannister alliance with the Dornish.
