Game Of Thrones Season 5 Cast Sheet Reveals Focus On Dorne
The Andalusian town of Osuna hit the headlines when it was announced that parts of season 5 of the popular HBO series Game of Thrones would be shot in the city. Osuna is a convenient day trip from Seville and has a host of sights that will fit right in on the mythical land of Westeros (and Essos?).
Though several of the newbies have directed for HBO in the past, only season five director with previous Thrones experience is David Nutter and boy, were some of his episodes memorable. Nutter was behind “The Rains of Castamere” (the Red Wedding) and the follow-up episode/season finale “Mhysa,” in addition to two season two episodes, and he’s been tasked with taking on the last two episodes once again. Season five will draw inspiration from the fourth and fifth novels in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, “A Feast for Crows” and “A Dance with Dragons.” Again, Tywin shows he's the real ruler, and as we close out this sad episode it looks like he's inches away from winning the whole game.
Given the reaction to the books, and the logistics of running a TV show, it seems highly likely that Season 5 will focus on the first halves (quarters? thirds?) of both A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons , and the series will progress like that until The Winds of Winter , but we won't know for sure until it's announced. The thing about the fourth and fifth books, like a lot of the Song of Ice and Fire series, is that they aren't chronological. They're more character- and location-focused. So, while you see events unfold for certain characters, other characters are left out completely. We're not quite sure how the show is going to handle this decision by George R. R. Martin, since the Game of Thrones series is generally chronological. We're assuming Season 5 will be the same. 2. Not as much action
The depth of Littlefinger's webs of deceit are far deeper than anyone could have imagined. Does Varys even know how far they go? He's carefully played the Seven Kingdoms like a chess board in a game that nobody else realize they are playing. We find out that Lysa Arryn was seduced by Lord Baelish into poisoning her husband Jon, the hand of the king and then sent a letter to her sister, Catelyn blaming it on the Lannisters, which set up this entire conflict. She kick-started the downfall of her sister, the Stark's, Robert Baratheon, and countless other people in the war of the five kings.
