Location scouting for Season 5 has taken place in Croatia and Spain. Filming in Croatia will continue in and around Dubrovnik, Split, and Žrnovnica, and will expand to new locations around Imotski and Šibenik. 4 The Spanish locations being scouted are in Andalusia, namely the Alhambra of Granada, the Alcázar of Seville and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos of Córdoba. 5 6 7 One character who was conspicuously absent from Game of Thrones Season 4 was Walder Frey, the chief perpetrator of the now-infamous Red Wedding. We were a little disappointed he didn’t show up, not because we missed him, but because we wanted to see some revenge for what he did! Based on the publication date of the fifth book, “A Dance With Dragons,” we know Martin is writing at a rate slower than 400 words per day. This is fine for “The Winds of Winter”; he could write as slowly as 240 words per day and release the book by the end of 2015, ahead of the corresponding TV season. But that would almost assuredly mean that the last book would come out after the final season, and that would be bittersweet for fans. Book readers know that as Maggy the Frog laid a prophecy smackdown on young Cersei, a prophecy which doesn't end with Cersei having a pizza party, if you get my meaning. But what's important is that if GoT is casting a young Cersei, it means we're going to get Game of Thrones' first real flashback.
Although Ygritte comes off as a bit needy in her speech to Jon about being his woman, she for the first time really admits that she’s well aware of Jon’s intentions. She’s gotten to know Jon and realizes that his loyalty knows no bounds. She plays into that loyalty and expects it to be first and foremost to her as she knows that neither the Night’s Watch or the Wildlings ultimately care about the end results or their fates. The loyalty that they show each other and the pact they make to stick together no matter what is extremely important to how their personal journeys will continue from this point on.
