'Game Of Thrones' Season 5 Will Finally Visit Dorne
Back in June , just after Season 4 of Game of Thrones came to an end, series creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff hinted that several new characters will be popping up in Season 5 While the show normally brings on a slew of fresh faces every year, we haven't had any clue who might be showing up this season, until today, when a new, unconfirmed report revealed that Keisha Castle-Hughes has signed on to play one of the Sand Snakes.
As the capital of the Seven Kingdoms, Malta housed the Iron Throne for some time. Fittingly, one of the venues for this was the San Anton Palace, in real life a residence of the island’s president. We shared that speculative thought with Season 4 finale director Alex Graves (who is taking Season 5 off), when we spoke to him about the big episode. But, he reminded us that Melisandre is a pretty good trickster. Season 5 will consist of material from both the fourth and fifth novels of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons 2 The two novels take place simultaneously alongside one another. I know he's a point-of-view character and so on. If we were making a movie I would have read it- I think. But I like the rollout of this, the fact that we're shooting season by season, and in a sense, it helps me as an actor to not know what's coming next; I deal with the problems that we have when we're given the scripts. Obviously I know season to season, but I don't really follow that, or want that. It takes the spontaneity out of it, and I don't want to be playing what's two books ahead; I don't want to be trying to clever about it. I want things to be surprising to me. Charles Dance and Peter Dinklage haven't read them either.”

Game of Thrones roughly follows the three storylines of A Song of Ice and Fire 5 Set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the realm's noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the series opens, additional threats emerge in the icy North and in the eastern continent of Essos. 2 With the uncertainty of exactly how the show moves forward as it quickly approaches surpassing the books, and the need to make the last 4 (or 5) books of the A Song of Ice and Fire into only 3 seasons of TV, Season 5 and beyond could be a unique experience very different from the books. In the end it should make for a very interesting production season of news! Latest episodes from Game Of Thrones
